• More than $700,000 raised through the Cameco Employee Giving Campaign - 300 Cameco employees donated to a charity of their choice with a matching donation from the company, resulting in support for 165 charitable organizations.

Today at #COP28, Cameco Executive Vice-President and CFO Grant Isaac talked about the merits of nuclear power in a panel discussion for the Atlantic Council Global Energy Forum titled, “Forging a united energy security front ahead of Europe’s second winter of war”. The panel discussed what is needed to ensure an affordable and secure energy supply for Europe while maintaining momentum on the clean energy transition. #ACEnergyForum

Another amazing day for nuclear energy at #COP28. Cameco President and CEO Tim Gitzel attended the Sapporo 5 nuclear fuel collaboration pledge announcement today at the Net Zero Nuclear Summit, held as part of #COP28. This commitment brings together Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, France and the United States with a shared goal of investing in the nuclear fuel infrastructure needed to triple nuclear energy capacity by 2050.

There were more productive discussions at #COP28 today as Cameco President and CEO Tim Gitzel met with His Excellency Fahad Saeed Al Raqbani, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Canada.
Tim also spoke on a panel about SMRs and sustainable nuclear power with His Excellency Mohamed Al Hammadi, Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation Managing Director and CEO, Saskatchewan Research Council President and CEO Mike Crabtree, and Westinghouse Electric Company Canada President Eddie Saab.
