One of the ways we share economic value with our northern communities is through employment creation and skill building resources. For example: we participate in career fairs, employ community liaisons, support scholarship programs, and provide apprentice programs, work placements, and summer student jobs. More details about our efforts are available in our 2023 Sustainability Report. https://www.cameco.com/about/sustainability

Since 2011, residents who live near our operations in northern Saskatchewan have collected more than 1,300 samples of water and traditional foods for third party analysis, demonstrating that traditional foods remain safe to eat and water safe to drink. On the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we acknowledge the roles that Cameco, and other industries, have to play in working toward reconciliation. Out of respect for Indigenous Peoples, all of Cameco’s Canadian operations have flown Every Child Matters flags for the entire month of September. #NDTR #everychildmatters #nsk
