In June, Cigar Lake reached a major milestone in its contribution toward energizing a clean-air world – by producing its 150 millionth pound of uranium concentrate. “150 million pounds is no small feat,” general manager, Kirk Lamont says. “It feels like routine work to the people on site and at Cameco as we are lucky enough to have these amazing tier 1 assets, but what we do here in northern Saskatchewan is not done anywhere else in the world.”
