Positive COVID-19 Test at Cigar Lake

An individual at Cameco’s Cigar Lake operation has tested positive today for COVID-19. The result is being sent for confirmation to the provincial lab and will be classified as a presumptive positive until we have confirmation.

The worker will remain in isolation at the northern Saskatchewan uranium mine until clearance is provided by the Northern Population Health Unit. At this moment, there are no workplace close contacts.

Cigar Lake continues to safely operate.
