A sold-out crowd of 3,400-plus enjoyed Sarah McLachlan’s powerful vocals along the riverbank during the July 20th Cameco Cares Concert Series event at the Delta Bessborough Gardens in Saskatoon.

More than $240,000 was raised – an event record – for St. Paul's Hospital Foundation.  Many thanks to our wonderful partners, 96.3 CRUZ FM, the Delta Bessborough and SaskTel Centre, Cameco volunteers and, of course, our multi-talented guest artist, Sarah McLachlan.

Event proceeds are earmarked to support the Nītisānak Navigator program at St. Paul's Hospital emergency room. Navigators are trained to provide culturally sensitive, holistic health-care support to First Nations and Métis patients in the emergency room. Navigators act as translators and advocates, helping patients navigate the health-care system and access community services to ensure continuity of care.

"St. Paul's Hospital is a community of health, hope and compassion for all," says Bruce Acton, CEO of St. Paul's Hospital Foundation. "We are deeply grateful to the fans of Sarah McLachlan and to the Cameco Cares Concert Series for supporting the Nītisānak Navigator pilot project. The generosity of our donors is changing lives at St. Paul's and allows us to remain leaders in indigenous health care in Saskatchewan."

The show was the third in a four-year series of community concerts with 100% of ticket proceeds supporting Saskatoon hospital foundations.

Since debuting in 2014, Cameco Cares has raised $620,000.
